Questions, answered.
What is Podgist?
Podgist is an iPhone app that turns new episodes of the podcasts you follow into short, personal summaries we call gists. Each gist explains why the episode matters to you, lists the key takeaways, and links to the moments worth hearing.
Which podcasts does it work with?
Any show with a public RSS feed, which covers nearly every podcast. Search for it, paste a link from your podcast app, or share it to Podgist. Shows exclusive to one platform and private feeds can't be added.
How is a gist personalized?
When you set up Podgist, you tell it about your work, your goals and what you're curious about. Every gist opens with why the episode matters to you, and the takeaways lean toward what's useful for you.
Can I trust the quotes and timestamps?
Gists are written from a full transcript of the episode. Every quote and moment is checked against that transcript before it reaches you, so tapping a moment plays exactly that part of the episode.
When does Podgist launch?
Podgist is launching on iPhone soon. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the day it's in the App Store.
How much will it cost?
Podgist will be free to download, with free summary time so you can try it on your own shows. Paid plans add more time and more auto-summarized shows.
What happens to my email address?
We use it for one thing: telling you when Podgist launches. First you'll get an email asking you to confirm your address, so nobody can sign you up without your say. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and we never sell your address.
